Leona T Bedard

Leona T. Bedard, 87, of West Chazy, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Standish on August 3, 1933, the daughter of the late Frederick and Lena (Plumadore) LaPorte.
She is survived by her loving children including Kenneth J. Bedard of Keeseville, Deborah Colson of Plattsburgh, Sherrie Bedard of Peru, Cindy Bedard of Peru, Lisa Bedard-Dupee and her husband Michael Dupee of West Chazy, her grandchildren; Kristopher Bedard, Bradley Colson, Kyle Burto, Kelly Davis and Ezekiel Martin, and her great grandson; Harrison Burto.
She worked for the American Cancer Society and the Clinton County Nutrition Title 5 Program “Meals on Wheels”.
Lee’s life was devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her “granddogs”. She enjoyed long car rides with a stop along the way for a Michigan or an ice cream. True to her favorite song- she loved, she laughed, she cried but through it all she stood tall and did it her way.
Calling hours and services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery in Cadyville. Memorial donations may be offered to the American Cancer Society..
