Leona E Lavigne

Leona Emma Stone LaVigne, 86, of O'Neil Road in West Chazy, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, on February 28, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Lillian (Agoney) Stone. Leona was an avid member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy and the VFW #1466 Ladies Auxiliary; she enjoyed cooking, bowling and most of all spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband Lyman LaVigne three sons; Russell, Michael and Rodney LaVigne, a daughter, Carol LaMar, two grandsons Adrian LaVigne and Jonathan Toms. Leona is survived by her children; Donna LaMar and her husband John of Peru, Gary LaVigne of South Carolina, Richard LaVigne and his wife Sue of West Chazy, Albert LaVigne and his wife Debra of Constable, Neal LaVigne of Mooers, three daughters in law; Patricia LaVigne of West Chazy, Becky LaVigne of South Carolina, Cindy LaVigne of Colton, son in law; Leon Lamar from South Carolina, five brothers; Arthur Stone and his wife Pat from Virginia, Ralph Stone and his wife Vi of Mississippi, Waldon Stone of Plattsburgh, Leon Stone of Plattsburgh, Calvin Stone and his wife Ann of Texas, sister in law; Betty Reppucci and her husband Chet of Massachusetts, brother in law, Gerald LaVigne and his wife Lolly of Massachusetts, seventeen grandchildren; Bryan LaVigne, Mary Miaski, Lori Holder, Amy Rhodes, Johnny LaMar, Wendy Phillips, Matthew, Scott, Chris, John and Katlyn LaVigne, Michelle Conklin, Christy, Amanda and Kayla LaVigne, Courtney and Lindsay Toms, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be on Tuesday June 28, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
