Leona F Renadette

Leona F. Renadette, 91, of VanCleave, MS and formerly of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home in Mississippi, where she has been living with her daughter for the last couple of years.
She was born in Plattsburgh on June 2, 1931, the daughter of the late Elmer and Viola (Corron) Rivers.
Leona was a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to go to the casinos. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville, as well as a part of the Altar Rosary Society, but most recently was attending Mass at Holy Spirit Church in Vancleave, MS.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; David Renadette and fiancée Deborah Swedick of Florida, Gerard and Paula (Hidook) Renadette of Plattsburgh, Dennis and Jane (Coupal) Renadette of Plattsburgh, Thomas Renadette of Plattsburgh, Paul and Kimberly (Vastine) Renadette of Ohio, Ann Renadette Drollette and her husband Erik Johansen of VanCleave, MS., 3 sisters, Theresa Fregeau of Plattsburgh, Sr. Linda Rivers OP of NYC, and Joyce Broderick of Plattsburgh, sister-in-law Jeannine Rivers of Connecticut, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a very special cousin Franklyn Rivers of Florida.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Arthur E. Renadette in 2020 and her brothers Lyman, Adrian and Walter Rivers and a sister-in-law Patricia Rivers.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2 to 5pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11am, at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be offered to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
