Leonard L "Lenny" Macey

Morrisonville Mr. Leonard L. "Lenny" Macey, 69, of Westland Avenue, Morrisonville, NY passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 2, 1944 the son of Ross and Margaret (Connick) Macey. Leonard was a veteran of the U. S. Army from 1965 to 1967 serving in Germany. He was currently employed at Plattsburgh Motor Service as Sales Manager, a position he has held for forty years. He enjoyed going to Roller Derby matches, an avid Jeff Gordon fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, UFC matches and spending time with family and friends. Leonard will be remembered as a generous, kind and gentle man. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Russell Macey and a sister Nancy Gebo. He is survived by his siblings, Ina and William Baker of Plattsburgh, Beverly Rivers of Morrisonville, Gary and Carol Macey of Morrisonville, two nieces he considered his daughters; Laurie Daniels and her husband Dan of Cadyville, Tammy Gebo of Peru, a good friend Travis Willis and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Reamer, chaplain at CVPH officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard's memory may be offered to the Local Food Bank. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
