Leonta M "Lee" Girard

Leonta M. “Lee” Girard, 78, of Plattsburgh passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at her sister’s home with her family by her side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country and her sister Mary Ann and her husband Robert “Bob” Ayotte. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 21, 1942 the daughter of George and Elaine (Picard) Dewey.
Lee had a successful career as a Registered Nurse, upon her retirement she owned and operated a woodcrafts business with her husband Doc. In her free time, she could be found spending time on her Ipad. Prior to Doc’s passing, Lee enjoyed winters in Avon Park, FL. She enjoyed being with her family, her grandchildren and going shopping and to lunch with her sister.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Kevin Girard of Plattsburgh, Karen and Bryan Foster of West Chazy, Eric Girard of Ogdensburg, Kathy and Jon Mulholland of Plattsburgh, her grandchildren; Brandon and Nathan Foster, Taylor Girard, Katie and Haydn Girard, Ethan and Delaney Mulholland, and a great-grandson Odin Girard, a sister and brother-in-law; Mary Ann and Robert Ayotte of Plattsburgh, a brother and sister-in-law Bill and Char Dewey of Plattsburgh, and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be held privately for the family at a later date.
Memorial donations may be offered to the Arthritis Foundation.
