Leslie E Lester

Leslie E. Lester, 88, of Burnt Hill Road in Cadyville, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Owls Head, NY on May 10, 1933, the son of the late Wayne and Lois (Childs) Lester.
Leslie was employed at Paul Smiths College for 17 years, in various positions, switchboard operator and a cook in the school kitchens. He moved on to AuSable Valley Telephone Co., where he worked for 28 years, retiring from the Central Office.
Outside of work, he enjoyed making music. He was an avid guitar player, playing in local music ensembles like Busky Band, Saranac Jammers and the Oakhill Band, when they wintered in Florida. His favorite times were the family jam sessions with his wife, sister, brother-in-law and niece and nephews of weekends.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Blair) Lester, his children, Sherman and Christine Lester of Leon, Kansas; Gregg and Coleen Lester of Plattsburgh; Norman Lester of Saranac; Kimberly Ritchie of Saranac; Russell Lester and Tracy Armstrong of Beekmantown and Paul Lester of Saranac.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
