Lillian Martha Denchick, 97, of Peru, NY passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Meadowbrook Healthcare facility in Plattsburgh, NY. Lillian’s goal was to live to 100 & she tried her hardest- living independently until the very end. Lillian was born February 7, 1927 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Paul and Martha Urban. Lillian resided in Astoria Queens, Lake Ronkonkoma, Olmstedville and most recently in Peru NY. Lillian was married to Frank Denchick Sr for 55 years. Her husband predeceased her in 2010. She worked as a teachers aide in the Minerva Central School District. Lillian liked baking and cooking, and once had a recipe published in Taste of Home. She also enjoyed plants, flower gardens, camping and traveling. Her various memberships included Adirondack Chapter of Good Sam RV Club and the Minerva V.F.D Auxilary. Lillian is survived by her sons: Derry Stern(Rita) of Farmingville, NY, Jeffrey Schneller of Flushing, NY and his companion Mary Eichler-LaPersoneri) and Frank Denchick(Keri) of Peru, NY, Her Grandchildren: Julie Stern and companion Brian Winters of Farmingville, NY, Jeffrey Stern(Cynthia) of Felton, PA, Patricia Cachia, Evan Schneller of Flushing, NY, Kaleb Gohlke(Chelsea) of Rotterdam, NY, Kaitlyn Denchick of Peru, NY and Karalyn Denchick of Plattsburgh, NY. Also surviving are Great Grandchildren: Nancy Grimaldi, Nicole Grimaldi, Olivia Winters, Graham Stern, Amelia Stern, Amara Denchick-DeFayette, Declan Denchick-Defayette and Brooklyn Gohlke, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Lillian was predeceasd by her brothers Erhardt Urban and wife Irene, George Urban and wife Edna and sister Frida “Tootsie” Urban. Services are private.
