Lillian E Murray

Lillian E. Murray, 82, of Hardscrabble Road, Cadyville, NY, passed away on Monday April 8, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Springfield, MA on April 1, 1931 the daughter of Walter and Jennie (Chase) Edgett. Lillian graduated from Classical High School in Springfield. After raising her children, Lillian enrolled in Vermont College of Nursing in Montpelier, VT graduating in 1962. Soon after she moved to Saranac, NY and began working at Champlain Valley Hospital and later CVPH Medical Center. Lillian enjoyed collecting antiques, raising Belgian horses and her canine companions. She was predeceased by two children, James and Susan Waling. Lillian is survived by her children, Barry Waling and his companion Wanda McKenna of Plattsburgh and Nancy Ellis and her husband John of Las Vegas, three grandchildren, Matthew Waling and his wife Linette of Ballston Spa, Barrett Waling, III of Plattsburgh and Jason Ellis and his wife Lauri of Plattsburgh, a great granddaughter, Sophie Waling, a brother, Walter Edgett of Indian Orchard, MA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. At Lillian's request there will be no public calling hours. Funeral services will be private with burial taking place in Keene, NH with her children.
