Linda M Black

Plattsburgh Linda M. (Rhinehart) Black, 70, of South Peru Street, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on December 9, 1939 the daughter of Hector and Caroline (Corrow) St. Denis. Linda had worked as a domestic at the Vilas Home, Sacred Heart Nursing Home and Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, playing bingo and pull tabs. Linda was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She was predeceased by her parents Hector and Caroline St. Denis, a daughter Heather Black Montbrandt and a brother Hector "Sonny" St. Denis, Jr. Linda is survived by her children; William Rhinehart of Morrisonville, Lonnie Powers and her husband John of Winthrop, Massachusetts, Suzanne Alger and her husband Kevin of Plattsburgh, Michael Rhinehart of Plattsburgh, John Black of South Carolina, Connie DeForge and her husband James "Bo" of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, Eunice Deyo of West Chazy, a sister Rena Keymel and her husband John of Keeseville, New York and a brother John St. Denis and his wife Debbie of Morrisonville, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Activities Fund at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility.
