Linda M. Burnell, 64, of Couch Street, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Burlington, Vermont on June 14, 1958, the daughter of the late Robert and Joan (Brickey) Tourangeau, Sr..
She is survived by her husband Joseph Burnell, her children and their spouses; Tina Tourangeau of Plattsburgh, Francine Hampton of Plattsburgh, Michael Pelkey Jr. of Plattsburgh, Michelle Pelkey and Jason David of Plattsburgh, Mary Burnell of Utica, Shawn Burnell of Albany, Joseph Burnell Jr. of Mohawk, NY., Thomas Burnell of Tuscon, Arizona, her siblings and their spouses; Robert and Donna Tourangeau Jr. of Florida, Ann and Jim Schmelzle of Illinois, Mark Tourangeau of Plattsburgh, John Tourangeau and Sue Lyon of Plattsburgh, Rose Baker of Sciota, Russell Tourangeau of New York, her brothers in law and sisters in law; Ross Burnell Jr. and fiancée Ginger Trombley of Morrisonville, Wanda and Roger Cook of Beekmantown, Donna and Michael LaPorte of Cadyville, Rita LaPorte and her fiancé Roger Bousquet of Morrisonville, Steve LaPorte of Morrisonville, Mamie Relation of Peru, Joyce and Ken Franks of Cadyville, Dorothy and Mark LaPorte of Cadyville, Gloria Duprey of West Chazy, Bobby Collins , many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother in law and father in law Lillian and Ross Burnell, her nephews Donald Burnell and Todd LaPorte, a niece Ashley LaPorte, a special friend Ethel Blake, brothers in law Mike Relation and Ronald “Barney” Baker.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 10:000 to 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St, in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
