Linda J. Farrell, 78, of Truman Avenue in Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh on September 12, 1944, the daughter of the late Maynard and Rita (Guay) Trombly.
Linda was employed as a civil servant for many years for the Postal Service at Plattsburgh AFB for many years and later at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home until her retirement. She enjoyed live music, dancing, animals, playing cards, watching movies and TV, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a devout Catholic and animal lover.
She is survived by a son; William Farrell of Miles City, Montana, a daughter; Vicki Farrell of Plattsburgh, four sisters; Joanne Calkins, Gail (Roy) Bechard, Carol (Arnold) LaPierre, Kathleen (John R.D.) Ford, a grandson Nicholas Farrell, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society, Elmore S.P.C.A., or the VFW Post 125 .
