Lionel Lucia

Altona Mr. Lionel (Lussier) Lucia, 75, formerly of Altona and most recently of Pleasant Street, Peru, New York passed away Saturday July 12, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Altona, New York on October 11, 1932 the son of William and Rose D. (Carey) Lucia. Lionel was preceded in death by his parents William Lucia and Rose D. Lucia-Sicard, his brothers; Eugene Lucia of Altona and Robert Lucia, who had made his home in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Lionel will be laid to rest with his family at Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona. He had participated in Special Olympics where he had won numerous medals. Lionel also enjoyed nature and photographing nature. He is survived by a brother Andrew Lucia of Springfield, Massachusetts, a sister-in-law, Viola Lucia of Altona, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and his many friends at the Clinton County Advocacy and Resource Center. Calling hours will be Wednesday July 16, 2008 from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William G. Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p. m. at Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona with the Rev. Gilbert O.
