Lorraine D Lafountain

Lorraine D. LaFountain, 70, of Altona, passed away Friday January 4, 2019 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Mooers on May 30, 1948 the daughter of Leo J. and Dorothy (Garrow) Rabideau.
Lorraine enjoyed music and was a member of the R.S.V.P. Kitchen Band as a spoon player. She enjoyed performing with the band at local Town Halls and she enjoyed writing poetry. Lorraine was a very compassionate woman whom people turned to for inspiration.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Mark LaFountain and Noelle Noreault of Peru, her companion Roderick “Butch” Noreault, her siblings and their spouses; Carol and Bill Watts of Mooers, Audrey LeClaire of Champlain, John and Sandy Rabideau of Mooers, her grandchildren; Lindsey Marking of Peru, Olivia and Harvey Deyo of West Chazy, her great grandchildren; Maxwell, Owen and Anna, Jackson and William, many members of the LaFountain family, several nieces and nephews including Kimberly LeClaire who was a very special niece who played an important part in her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Kenneth LaFountain and several members of the LaFountain family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:30am at Holy Angels Church. The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to the Lions Club.
