Louis “Butch” J. Santo, Jr., 67, of Salmon River Road, Schuyler Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Butch loved his family above all. He also enjoyed yard sales, trips to the casino and Hampton Beach, and was an avid grocery shopper. Butch also enjoyed spending time with friends and loved pulling practical jokes. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1971, after being honorably discharged he was employed by the Heating Plant at Plattsburgh Air Force Base for 26 years, retiring in 1995.
Butch was predeceased by his parents Shirley and Louis Santo, Sr., a nephew Earl Mary, Jr. and a niece Theresa Aronowitz. He is survived by his longtime friend; Kevin LeBlanc, who took care of Butch through many health issues. His sisters; Cheryl (John) Aronowitz, Donna McKee, Brenda (Earl) Mary, Sr., his nephews and nieces; Christina, John and Jason Aronowitz, Mike (Becky) McKee, Jared (Amy) McKee and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews also survive him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru, NY.
Butch’s family wishes to thank Hospice of the North Country, the staff of HCR, the staff of the J.K. Freedman Renal Center, and the staff of CVPH Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers donations in Butch’s memory may be made to the J. K. Freedman Renal Center, C/O the Foundation of CVPH.
