Plattsburgh Louis J. Watts, 69 of Oak Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Friday June 5, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in New York City on June 4, 1940 the son of Frederick and Gertrude (Monahan) Watts, Sr. Louis served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and reader. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Frederick Watts, Jr., a sister Gertrude Hart, a daughter Michelle Watts and a grandson Dwayne Coss. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Bonnie Kemp of Plattsburgh, NY, three sons Michael Watts and his wife Farole, Jeffrey Watts, Thomas Watts and his companion Laurie Thompson, all of Plattsburgh, NY, four daughters; Barbara Fountain of Plattsburgh, NY, Jenny Schwank and her companion Kevin Peppin of CT, Michelle Giddings and her husband Danny of Peasleeville, NY and Darlene Paradis and her husband Marcel of Plattsburgh, NY. Fourteen grandchildren; Anthony, Joshua, Joseph, Daniel, Matthew, Riley, Tiffany, Danielle, Tanya, Mandy, Ashley, Genna, Chantal and Destanie. Six great grandchildren; Brayden, Dominic, Connor, Kylie, Kytrin, Kendra. Three step grandchildren; Kristina, Bobby, Jennifer and Connie. His father and mother-in-law Floyd and Evelyn Daniels. Three sister-in-laws; Sandy Sherman and her companion Ken Sorrell of Saranac, NY, Debbie LaGrave and her companion Jeff Mattoon of Peru, NY, Tina Hemmingway and her companion Joe Duel of Chazy, NY. Three aunts; Rita Carter of Plattsburgh, NY Jane Kemp of Peru, NY and Marion Garney of Ballston Spa, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling Hours will be held on Monday June 8, 2009 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations in his memory maybe made to his family.
