Loyal F. Badger Sr. 88 of Lakeland, FL and Champlain, NY passed away on November 21, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Loyal was born in Coopersville, NY on August 23, 1923. He is predeceased by his parents Bert and Besse (Abood) Badger, his brother Edward and his sisters Hazel and Rita. He is also predeceased by his first wife Hilda Relation Badger. Loyal served his country in the Air Force during WWII and for most of his life he owned his own milk hauling business. He retired as grounds supervisor of PAFB Golf Course, where he spent many years and made many friends. Loyal was a very loving, family oriented man and will be greatly missed. Loyal was a member of the Knights of Columbus, including Grand Knight and a member of the Champlain VFW. He was also a member of the West Chazy Fire Department for many years. In 2001 Loyal married Theresa Rabideau and spent the last ten years between Champlain and Florida where they owned their own home. Loyal is survived by his wife Theresa Rabideau Badger, his daughter Sheila Badger of Champlain , his son Loyal Jr. (Bubba) and his wife Mary Badger of West Chazy, his loving grandchildren; granddaughter Mandy and husband Mike Jolicoeur of Champlain, his grandson Richard and wife Kelly Morrison of West Chazy, granddaughters Anna Badger of West Chazy, Angela Badger of Jeffersonville VT, and grandson Andrew Badger West Chazy, and by his 3 great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Matthew Jolicoeur and RJ Morrison. Loyal is also survived by his stepchildren: Stepson Gary Rabideau and Wife Joanne of Nashville, TN, Rick Rabideau and wife Terry of New York City NY, Stepson Randy Rabideau of Bennington VT, and stepdaughter Nancy and husband Ed St. Onge of Arlington VT, his step grandchildren Claire, Adele, Amy, Erin, Leine, and step great grandchildren are Tyler, Avery,and Hannah He leaves behind his sisters Beatrice Brushnifski of Plattsburgh, NY, Francis Smith of Lakeland, FL and June Bedard of Ingerham NY. Family and friends may call at Browns Funeral home, in Plattsburgh 5 to 8 PM on Friday the 25th, and funeral will be held at St. Louis of France in Sciota at 11:00.
