Loyal F. Badger Jr., “Bubba,” 61, of West Chazy, NY, passed away unexpectedly in his family home on Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was a loving husband, father, proud Papa, and well known to many throughout the North Country.
Bubba was born on April 9, 1959 in Plattsburgh, NY, son of the late Loyal Sr. and Hilda (Relation) Badger. He attended Northeastern Clinton High School, graduating in 1977, and then went on to work for Chazy Orchard and Bayview Dairy. He was a member of the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department for many years with his father, and loved telling the story of delivering a baby while volunteering as an EMT. Many more of his stories came from his time working at the Advocacy and Resource Center, where he met his wife, Mary. They married on September 13, 1986, and raised three beautiful children together. Bubba then went on to work for the Post Office as a rural mail carrier and also owned a Gun Shop for many years. He had a natural ability to make connections with so many people, and remembered them for years to come. Bubba loved catching up with old friends, working in his garden, cooking, canning, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary (LaBella) Badger; daughter, Anna Palardy and her husband Marc; daughter, Angela Robinson and her husband Zachary; son, Andrew Badger and his wife Stephanie; grandsons, Sean Palardy, Jerrick Garrant, Miles Robinson, Ashton Badger, and expectant grandson, Dominic Robinson; sister, Sheila Badger; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private at a later date in St. Louis de France Cemetery.
