Malakai A "Kai" Arroyo

Malakai A. "Kai" Arroyo, 16, of Dannemora, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018 at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burilington, VT. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 3, 2002, the son of Richie Arroyo and Jesssica Desourdy. Kai loved to be outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and being with this dog. He was a true friend to all who knew him, making his mark on the world, providing support to everyone. Kai often dedicated his time to charity work with the Salvation Army. He'll be missed for his compassion to his family, friends, and strangers alike. He is predeceased by his sister, Carmen, his grandmother, Tammy Bousquet, grandfather, Roger Arroyo, and his great-grandmother Carmen Walker. He is survived by his parents, his siblings; Canyon, Shanika, Tyrese, Chuckie, Laura Lynn, and Morgan, his grandparents, Nannette Arroyo, James Desourdy and his wife Rebecca, and his canine companions, Oak Leaf and Kyra, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be Monday, October 29, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6:00pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
