Malcolm K. “Mal” Bushey, 85, of the Durand Road, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 7, 1934 the son of Chester and Catherine (Martineau) Bushey. Mal retired from Murnane Construction Company after twenty six years as a Laborer Foreman. He enjoyed his daily coffee group, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, bowling, the Brooklyn Dodgers, and Cardinal Hockey. Mal was predeceased by his parents, seven sisters, three brothers and his canine companion Muffy.
He is survived by his children; Deborah (Kevin) Patnode, Susan Arnesen and fiancé Timothy LaBarge, Andrew (Debra) Bushey, Angela (James) Koller, Karen Miller and her fiancé Robert Miller, four sisters; Marion Lytle, Roxie (Leo) Deyo, Donna (Jerry) Nephew, Judy (Jim) Williams, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a special niece Melissa (Barry) Guilbo, several nieces, nephews, his former wife Lucille Bushey and his companion Rebecca Drollette and her three children and nine grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
Friends wishing may make donations to a charity of one’s choice.
Mal’s family is very grateful to Dr. Lodha for the excellent care she provided.
