Marcel H Pellerin

December 17, 1948 — February 25, 2022

Marcel Hebert Pellerin, 73, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on February 25th at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, on December 17, 1948, the ninth and last child of his parents Henry J and Lea (Hebert) Pellerin.
After graduating from Beekmantown Central School, Marcel began a lifelong career as a self-employed carpenter specializing in additions, kitchens, decks and renovations. His work was well known throughout the area. Marcel was active in the Knights of Columbus until his disabilities began to surface. He was also a member of the Elks and Moose clubs. Most noteworthy was Marcel's great personality and witty sense of humor. He especially enjoyed having family and friends gathering for a campfire or cookout at his West Chazy Twin Ells summer resident camp. Marcel wintered in Hudson, Florida.
Remaining to cherish Marcel's memory are his son Matthew (Valerie Kemp); brothers Paul (Marissa) and Edmond (Cathy); and sisters Margaret Garrand, Jeannette Franck and Therese Dudyak (Ron Teel), many nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Eldena Cusson. Marcel was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Gerald and Leonard, his sister Mary, and three nephews: Eric Pellerin, Gary Garrand, and Steven Franck.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Meadowbrook Healthcare sub-acute for the excellent care given Marcel during his lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held in May with burial to follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
