Margaret M Breyette

Margaret M. Lavene Breyette, 92, of Hardscrabble Road, Cadyville, NY, passed away on Monday January 24, 2022 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Burlington, VT on August 20, 1929 the daughter of James and Ella (Perkins) Ryan.
Margaret married James Lewis Lavene on August 20, 1946 at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. She worked at Grandway and Niesers Dept. Stores for many years. James passed away on February 9, 1965, at the time they managed Wellscroft Lodge in Upper Jay, NY together.
Margaret later married Eugene Breyette in 1967 and they resided in Morrisonville.
She was a member of the Peru Church of God, and was very active in the American Legion Post 1619 and V.F. W. Post 125. Margaret participated in the Color Guard and was a delegate at many conventions she attended. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, crocheting, scratch off tickets, slot machines and reading. Margaret also loved cats and birds.
She was predeceased by her husbands James Lavene and Eugene Breyette, two sons David Lavene and Eugene Breyette, Jr., a son-in-law Robert Collins, a daughter-in-law Florence Lavene and a brother James Ryan.
Margaret is survived by her children; Gregory Lavene and his wife Donna of Morrisonville, Judy Collins of Cadyville, Fred lavene of Morrisonville, Ellanna McNeil of Colorado, two steps; Michael Breyette of Las Vegas and Phillip Breyette of Morrisonville, two sisters; Shirley Blair and Patricia Richardi, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren also survive her.
At Margaret’s request there will be no services.
