Margaret M Lapoint

Margaret M. LaPoint, 75, of Route 374 in Chazy Lake, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on September 2, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (LaMere) King.
Margaret was employed at Northern Adirondack Central School in Ellenburg for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the Catholic Daughters Chapter in Dannemora. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and going to BINGO.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; John and Penni LaPoint of Chazy Lake, Beverly Gates of Chazy Lake, Stephanie and Nicholas Wells of Plattsburgh, her sisters in law; Shirley King of Chazy Lake, Jeannette DuBrey of Lyon Mountain, Sally Kline of Morrisonville, Genevieve and John Mailloux of Brainardsville, Diane Shutts of Merrill, Betty Charland, Judy Humston LaPoint, her grandchildren; Shelby Gates, Kelci Gates, Alexis Wells, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas LaPoint, her brothers Jack King and Bennie King, and several brothers in law and sisters in law.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Entombment will follow in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
