Plattsburgh Margaret D. Latour, 93, formerly of Beekman Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Riverview on April 12, 1917, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Brian) Soucy. Margaret was employed as a machine operator at Georgia Pacific for many years until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and enjoyed playing poker. She is survived by a son, Gerald Latour of Chateaugay Lake, a daughter Diane Gadway and her companion Richard Petro of Plattsburgh, her grandchildren; Melodie and Rick Brunelle of Ellenburg, Jerry and Leah Latour of Texas, Tom Gadway of Plattsburgh, April and Ed Quackenbush of Cumberland Head, Michelle and Sheldon Pray of Jensen Beach, Fl., her great grandchildren; Ragen and Damien, Maegan and Jared, Colin, Kailey and Riley, Mia and Tessa, a brother in law; Harold Dupra of Plattsburgh, and several nieces and nephews. Seven sisters, Lena Farrell, Bernadette Soucy, Alfreda Ashline, Rena Latour, Rita Raab Anna Dupra and Evelyn Lemieux passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row in Cadyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will be in Assumption cemetery in Redford at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Hospice of the North Country.
