Margaret Priscilla "Tina" Marbut

Schuyler Falls Margaret Priscilla "Tina" Marbut, 85, of Peasleeville Road, Schuyler Falls, NY passed away Thursday March 18, 2010 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on November 1, 1924 the daughter of Alfred and Elizabeth (Bouvia) Lafountain. Tina graduated from Our Lady of Victory High School in 1942, soon after she joined the United States Army, serving during World War II. She enjoyed going to BINGO and fishing with her husband. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Tina is survived by nine children, Ralph E. Marbut Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Plattsburgh, Paul Marbut and his wife, Carole of Plattsburgh, Gary Marbut and his companion, Maggie of Schuyler Falls, Robert Marbut and his wife, Gina of Plattsburgh, Ronald Marbut of Plattsburgh, Mary Cappello and her husband, Joseph of West Chazy, James Marbut and his companion, Eileen of Mooers, Carol Dumas and her husband, Gary of Schuyler Falls, Joan Chmiel and her husband, Michael of Peru, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two sisters; Dorothy "Dot" Snyder and Rose Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. Tina was pre-deceased by her parents and her husband Ralph who passed away in 2008, three brothers; Joseph, Alfred "Dickie" and Donald Lafountain, Sr., two sisters; Florence Terry and Marion LaCasse. Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 21, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Church in Peru, NY on Monday March 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be later in the year in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru.
