Margaret R Matton

Mrs. Margaret R. Matton, 82, of the Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday October 16, 2018 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Altona, New York on November 27, 1935 the daughter of Merritt and Regina (Domaingne) Frennier. Margaret was office manager for the law firm of Neverett, Asadourian and Johnston. She was secretary for Riverside Cemetery Association. Margaret enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping and working the voting polls. She and her late husband Ronald were active in the youth commission. Margaret was a member of the Good Sam Club and St. Peter's Church. While she was a resident of Meadowbrook Health Care Facility, she served on the residence council at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility and worked as an advocate for the residents. An avid New York Yankees fan, she also enjoyed spending time with family and her canine companion Molly. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ronald Matton, a son Allen Matton, brothers; Clarence, John and Arthur Frennier and a sister Evelyn McNeil. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Vicki) Matton, Danny (Lori) Matton, three daughters, Carol (Jerry) Hamel, Janet (Robbie) Trombley, Ann (Greg) LaBier, a daughter-in-law Susan Matton, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
