Margaret R. Page passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2025 joining her loving husband, James, in heaven. Margaret battled with a very rare neurological disorder known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for the past several months. As per her wishes, her children ensured that she remained at her home until her passing. Margaret was born on July 20, 1944 at her home in Mooers Forks, NY, the daughter of Wilfred and Beatrice LaValley (Brassard). Margaret is survived by her seven children: Lorene Easter (Ronald), Catherine Steele (Stephen), John LaValley (Cindy Wood), Tracey Tuller (Fred), Theresa Page (Judy Bechard), Brenda Page (Michael Guerin) and James Page (Jennifer). In addition, thirteen grandchildren: Jessica (Shane) Bigelow, Liz (Tom) Goslow, Tara (Joshua) Slavin, Stacy (Sean) Bump, Nathan (Bailey) Tuller, Kaitlyn Tuller (Christopher Mihal), Mathew LaValley (Taylor Slagenweit), Alex Page, Emily Page, Brittani Natale, CJ Natale, Amanda (Charlie) Coryea, Justin (Kirstie) Yelle. As well as twenty-five great-grandchildren: Corey, Callie, Kayleigh, Parisse, Tori, Connor, Charlotte, Kennedy, Camryn, Elizabeth, Sydney, Ryleigh, Olivia, Addison, Noah, Giuliana, Myla, Dallas, Melanie, Danica, Barrett, Kolton, Kaleb, Karsen and Maya. In addition, she is survived by her four sisters, Beverly (James) Lamberton, Ruby (Leon) Garrand, Marilyn LaCount (David Gravelin), Norma (Larry) Begor; two brothers Paul (Nancy) LaValley, George (Tammy) Burleigh and one sister-in-law Brenda (Kirce) Llyod. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James Wallace Page, her parents Wilfred LaValley and Beatrice (Brassard) LaValley, her sister Joan LaCount, brother-in-law Russell LaCount and great granddaughter Jaidyn Olivia Bigelow. Margaret worked 29 years for the Clinton County Real Property Office as Assessment Control Examiner, retiring in 2006, having previously worked for Dr. Nicknish, Dr. Eisnger, Dr. Baker and Lucks Vending. Margaret was a member of the Women of the Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20, holding many titles: Past Unit President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past 4th District President, Membership Chair, Secretary, Chaplain and Chair of Public Relations. After retirement, Margaret and the love of her life, Jim, built a home in Albany, Georgia. For many years, they spent half the year in Georgia and the other half at their home in New York. In addition, a special thank you to Julia, a care provider who formed a special bond with Margaret. Calling Hours will be on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church.
