Margot Wyman

Margot Wyman, 88, died peacefully on 5/27/2022. She was born in the small village of Hainzell, Germany, on March 31, 1934, to Josephine and Augustine. She had 8 other siblings, Martha, Joseph, Inge, Gisela, and Aberhart who are pre-deceased. Elizabeth, Maria, and Brigette have survived her. She moved to Munich Germany as a young woman and worked in an office. Soon she became a nanny to a US Air Force family and moved to London England. She then emigrated to the United States in 1961. She met her future husband William, and they were married in 1962. Her husband was in the Air Force, and they crisscrossed the United States. She had two sons Richard and Mark. Not only was she a housewife and mom but became passionate in cake decorating and several other crafts, always keeping busy. Her tireless energy pushed her back into the workforce. First in a retail store then working in an Optometrist office. She and her family completed their final move to Plattsburgh in 1980. She continued to work until retiring in the mid 90’s. She took up quilting and made hundreds of beautiful quilts over the years. In those twilight years Margo and Bill traveled extensively, mainly cruising.
Margo and Bill shared 59 years of marriage until his passing this past January. She is survived by sons Richard and Mark, daughters-in-law Kathy and Janine. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher, Katie, and Michael, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 2, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
