Maria C. Hayes

Maria left this earth to be with her God early in the morning on Wednesday October 2, 2024 at the age of 74. She passed peacefully in her home with her husband by her side. Maria was a fierce and protective mother. She had a deep love for her family. She was an Angel on earth. She helped all those who were in need to the best of her ability. She had a passion to heal others, especially infants and children. So, becoming a nurse came naturally to her. She earned her Master's Degree in Nursing Management. She was a practicing nurse for 54 years. Maria helped thousands of people between her professional and personal life. Maria left a beautiful mark on the hearts of everyone she met. Rest now, you are at peace. Maria was the daughter of John Lagos and Anna Montella. She is survived by; her husband of 53 years Charles (Skip) H. Hayes, her daughter Jennifer E. Johnson (Hayes) and her husband Michael B. Johnson and her son Gregory Hayes, her brother Frank Lagos, her niece Lisa Intorcia and her nephew Rick Intorcia, her beloved grandchildren; Myles I. Hayes, Hunter T. Johnson, Zachary M. Johnson, Kelvin Hayes as well as Charles(Austen) Hayes and his wife Julia, Dennis(Alex) Hayes and his wife Lisa, her great-grandchildren; Everly Maria Hayes, Sydney Estelle Hayes, Keagan Alexander Hayes and Annika Lynleigh Hayes. She is predeceased by her son Charles “Chucky” N. Hayes, her sister Lena ”Lee” Intorcia, and her niece Cathy LePore.
