Marion E Carron

Marion E. Carron, 83, of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on July 30, 1936 the daughter of Frank and Rita (Hansbury) DeCarlo. Marion was the proprietor of Holiday Crafts and Creations. She worked at the Prescription Center for seventeen years and later at Country Expressions. Marion’s greatest joy was crocheting and she donated numerous items to JCEO, CVPH Neonatal Unit, area nursing homes and would hang hats and scarfs on the fence at Trinity Park. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, taking cruises and Marion loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Howard Walker, sisters; Rita “Helen”, Nancy and a special aunt and uncle Doris and Joseph Newhouse.
Marion is survived by her husband Howard H. Carron, whom she married September 6, 1968 in front of Judge Edward Monty, a son Rickey (Maria) Walker of West Charlton, NY, a daughter Karrie (Donn) Breyette of Morrisonville, her stepson Craig Carron of Virginia, a sister Frances Walker of Plattsburgh, a brother Wendell “Buddy” (Maureen) DeCarlo of Plattsburgh, four grandchildren Jason Breyette and his companion Jodie Lanning, Jessica Walker, Jamie “Boo” (Jessica) Breyette, Justin (Nadine) Walker, great grandchildren; Hailey, Ty, Drew and Isla, a step granddaughter Michelle (Jonathan) Helms, several nieces, nephews and her many Red Hatter and stitching friends.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 7, 2020 at 12:30 pm at St. Alexander’s Church.
Memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or CVPH Foundation.
