Marion Schmitt

Plattsburgh Marion G. Schmitt Marion G. Schmitt passed away peacefully July 6, 2009 at the home of her daughter Lee Meyer. Marion was born in Keeseville, NY the year of 1912, the daughter of Leonard and Mildred Boule. Marion was a Graduate of Champlain Valley School of Nursing and was the head nurse of pediatrics at Physicians Hospital. She was later employed at the pediatric office of Dr. Tanner and Dr. Ryan. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Gerald L. Schmitt, a sister Norma Shay and a brother Sherman Boule. Marion is survived by two daughters; Linda LaMarche Harwood and Lee Meyer, a son-in-law; John Meyer, Grandsons; Dr. Arthur LaMarche, Jerry LaMarche and Phillip LaMarche, Granddaughters; Tricia and Robert Mihal, Rebecca Meyer, Erin and Shane Filion, seven Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street Plattsburgh, NY. A Memorial mass will be celebrated Friday July 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville, NY.
