Mark Anthony Pivetta; 55, passed unexpectedly Friday April 12, 2019. Born June 17, 1963, Mark grew up in Lyon Mountain, NY and lived most of his life in Plattsburgh, NY. He graduated from NAC High School and SUNY Plattsburgh with his BA in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Mark was proud of his career has a Corrections Officer at Altona Correctional Facility and was retired at the time of his passing. He was an avid reader, writer and story-teller. He enjoyed cooking for his family, and acted in many community theater productions. In his younger days Mark enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. To this day he is a diehard Yankees fan and Star Trek fanatic. Some of Mark’s proudest moments were walking each of his daughters down the aisle, and welcoming his grandchildren into the world. Mark is survived by his Daughters, Kataleigh and Kassidy and their mother Keri; son-in-law’s Tyler and Brian, grandchildren Theodore and Maiyah, parents Americo “Ves” and Sharon; Brothers Michael and Jerry; Sister Andrea and numerous nieces and nephews. Mark is pre-deceased by his grandmother Hazel, and granddaughter Mona June.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
