Marlene B Favaro

Dannemora Marlene B. Favaro, 81, of Maple Street, Dannemora, NY, passed away on Thursday October 10, 2013 at Fletcher Allen Heath Care in Burlington, VT. She was born in Plattsburgh on September 16, 1932 the daughter of Harley and Marie (Carter) Dame. Marlene graduated from Dannemora High School in 1950 and went on to Plattsburgh Business School. She married Roger Favaro at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora on May 21, 1952. Marlene worked at Champlain College in Plattsburgh for three years and later for the Law Office of Robinson, Lewis and Bell before working at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, K of C Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at Dannemora Elementary School. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family, going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities, camping, going out to eat, shopping and checking up with friends on Facebook. She was predeceased by her parents. Marlene is survived by her husband of 61 years Roger Favaro of Dannemora, four children and their spouses: Bruce Favaro and his wife Dawn (Frenyea) of Saranac, Gayle Porcelli and her husband Joseph of Plattsburgh, Karen Favaro of Dannemora and Susie Ryan and her husband Jim of Dannemora, seven grandchildren; Ryan Favaro, Erica Lindsay, Heather Stone, Anthony Porcelli, Kailee Favaro, Jason Favaro and Carson Ryan, four great grandchildren: Madeline, Brady, Barrett and Noah, her sister, Joan Corbin and her husband Paul of Waterloo, NY, her nieces: Chantal Corbin and Danielle Kabinoff and her Shih-Tzu Molly. Calling hours will be held on Friday October 11, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
