Martha Vanleeuwen

Martha E. VanLeeuwen, 65, of Melody Lane, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Wednesday October 19, 2022 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT. She was born in Nuremberg, Germany the daughter of Nicholas and Nancy (Soderberg) VanLeeuwen.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Saint Lawrence University in New York State. She most recently worked at Nine Platt Hospitality for 15 years after many positions in the broadcast media industry, including roles at WPTZ in Plattsburgh and FOX 44 in Vermont.

She loved horses (especially in her early years), dogs and working out. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends and was known as being extremely compassionate and caring.

She was preceded by her parents, Nicholas and Nancy, as well as her brother David and dog Sammy. She is survived by her two children, Nick and Jennifer, her four grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Madeline and Sydney, as well as her brother Donald and sister Nancy, and dog Bear.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, NY.
