Martin Anthony Selby-Kennedy, 36, of 120 Lenox Avenue, Pittsfield, MA died Monday, June 29th as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash in Adams. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 14, 1972, the son of June Fountain Selby Kennedy of Plattsburgh, and Martin Selby of Redford, NY. He was a 1990 graduate of Peru Central School and he attended Clinton Community College. He also served in the Army National Guard in Plattsburgh. Marty had worked as a truck driver for Rainbow Distributing Company. Previously he had worked at Pfizer Specialty Minerals in Adams. Marty was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved motocross. He wrote poetry and songs, and he composed and recorded his own arrangements. Of greatest importance to Marty was his relationship with God and the love of his family, most of all, his son, Anthony "TONY" 3 years old. Besides his mother and father, he leaves two sisters; Penny Bousquet of Plattsburgh and Lisa Bessette of Lynchburg, VA. Calling hours for Marty who died June 29, 2009 will be Friday, July 10th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Champlain Valley Christian Center on the Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jesse Brooks officiating.
