Marvel F Babbie

Plattsburgh Mrs. Marvel F. Babbie, 83, of LaBarre Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on June 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie (Coon) Bordeau Marvel served as President and Treasurer of the Senior Group that met at Long Apartments and enjoyed BINGO, playing cards, long Sunday drives, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Gerald and Mary Babbie, Jr. of Plattsburgh, Jeff and Melinda Babbie of Glenmoore, Pa., Vickie Babbie of Plattsburgh, Jon and Michelle Babbie of Malone, her siblings and their spouses; Andrew" Junior" and Veronica Bordeau of Plattsburgh, Shirley and Joseph Matott of West Chazy , Marvin" Bucky" and Yvonne Bordeau of Plattsburgh , her grandchildren; Jason , Lori, Eric, Ryan and Justin, her great grandchildren; Jason Jr., Kassondra and Blake, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Babbie Sr. on July 30, 1989. Her brothers; Walter Bordeau, Leonard Bordeau, Stanley Bordeau, and her sisters; Dorothy Castine, Martha Castine and Eleanor Kennison also passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11:00am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
