Morrisonville Mr. Marvin K. Weaver, 84, of Twin Birch Lane, Morrisonville, NY passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side while under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 23, 1932, the son of the late Marvin P. and Hilda (Blair) Weaver. Marvin served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class during the Korean Conflict and was employed for over 32 years as a corrections officer at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. James Church in Cadyville and American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh. Marvin enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, woodworking, and was a talented painter and artist. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog "Sadie Rose". Is survived by his wife of 62 years Patricia (Turner) Weaver of Morrisonville, his children and their spouses; Michael and Cinci Weaver of Heuvelton, William Weaver of Plattsburgh, Lynn Weaver of Morrisonville, Carole Ann and Bruce Plumley of Cadyville, Kathleen Weaver of Plattsburgh, his brother and sister in law: Ronald and Sandy Weaver of Plattsburgh, a sister; Judy LaForest and companion Peter of Plattsburgh, his grandchildren; Brad and Colby Weaver, Kristy Barcomb, Justin Weaver, Samantha Weaver, Rachel and Justin Bryant, Seth Plumley, his great granddaughters; Olivia, Lilian and Ava Belle, and many nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister, Betty Miller passed away earlier. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m St. James Church in Cadyville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory made be to Hospice of the North Country , Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or for Masses.
