Mary C Lafountain

d. March 3, 2014

Mrs. Mary Lafountain, 84, of Ormsby Drive in Schuyler Falls reunited with her husband Earl on March 3, 2014. She was born March 3, 1930 in New York City to Helen and James Ryan. Mary was a dedicated and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful Avon representative for over 30 years, making many friends and loyal customers along the way. She enjoyed listening to Country Music, watching wrestling on Saturday nights, NASCAR races, playing cards, and traveling through the North Country, especially to the flea markets in Tupper Lake. Camping and picnicking were among some of her favorite past times, and you could always find Mary at a parade or one of the county's fire department Field Days. She loved spending time with family, whether it was playing cards or just watching her grandkids. Every year she could also be seen raising money for the local Autism walk. She was a woman of few words but her spunky personality shined through. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Earl Lafountain, Sr. She was also predeceased by her brothers, James "Jimmy" Ryan, Edward "Buddy" Ryan, Thomas "Skippy" Ryan; her sister Marggie McKee and brother in law, Larry Senecal.
