Mary Alice Latremore

Chazy Mary Alice Latremore, loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, passed over into the arms of our Lord on December 29, 2007. She was born on December 10, 1943 to Alden and Irene Deyo of Altona. As the oldest daughter of nine children, she helped out at home and at her parents general store until the age of eighteen. She graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1962. During her senior year she met the love of her life, Glenn R. Latremore. They were married on August 11, 1962. When not working at H.L. Green, she spent her time helping her husband start Latremore's Insurance Agency, a business they have owned and operated since 1969. Mary received several accolades during her business career including Alumni of the Year in 2005, Professional Business Woman Employer of the Year in 2006 and was a member of the Professional Insurance Association. Mary and Glenn have been an integral part of many activities in Chazy, whether it was driving busses to sporting events, working parish dinners and events or being crowned King and Queen of Chazy Old Home Days in 2004, Mary and Glenn were there. Closest to her heart were family events, especially her famous Fourth of July parties. Mary was known far and wide for her fried chicken, sliders, macaroni soup and delicious desserts. "Grandma Mary" as she was affectionately known, was never so content as when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she theirs. Besides her husband, Glenn, Mary is survived by three children and their spouses, Curtis and Lori Latremore, Christopher and Amanda Latremore, Carol and Peter Lyons, all residing in Chazy, eight grandchildren, Kelsey, Kegan, Kinnan, Jeremie, Perry and Devin Latremore, Alys and Victoria Lyons, her mother, Irene Deyo of Altona, her mother in law, Pearl Latremore of Chazy, brothers Alden and his wife, Stella Deyo of Champlain, Kevin and his wife, Debbie Deyo of Altona, Brad Deyo of Altona, sisters Sharron Miller of Beekmantown, Vanessa Deyo of Texas, sister in law, Marge LaDue and her husband Leland of Chazy, Bonnie LaPine and her husband, Steven of Essex Junction, Vermont and many nieces and nephews.
