Mary C. Lynch, 77, formerly of Addoms Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility after a lengthy illness. She was born in Bronx, NY on May 3, 1940 the daughter of Joseph A. and Josephine (McSweeney) Lynch. Mary was a graduate of Fordham University. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Paloger in White Plains, NY. Mary ran for U. S. Congress in the 1970's on the Conservative Party ballot opposing Democratic candidate and former mayor of NYC Herman Badillo. She was an avid reader, dog lover and enjoyed crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. Mary was predeceased by her parents and a sister Jane Brandt. She is survived by her sister Joan Lynch of Plattsburgh, her brother-in-law Robert Brandt of Midland Park, NJ, two nieces Laurie Bolduc and her husband Renald of South Burlington, VT, Karen Bray and her husband Kellen of NYC, a nephew James Brandt and his wife Mary Beth of Jamison, PA, her great niece and nephews Caroline, Timothy and Joseph Brandt. Calling hours will be Monday, March 26, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at John XXIII Newman Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at John XXIII Newman Center, Plattsburgh. Interment will be at a later date at Divine Mercy Cemetery on Cumberland Head.
