Mary M Monahan

Mary M. Monahan, 81, of Robert S. Long Apartments passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in New Haven, CT on January 31, 1932 the daughter of Francis and Margaret (O'Brien) Monahan. Mary married Elton Jodoin on May 23, 1953 at St. Roses Church in New Haven, CT. She had worked as parish secretary for St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy. She enjoyed, playing cards, visiting with friends, spending time with her Connecticut family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her parents, a brother Frank Monahan and his wife Iola. Mary is survived by a daughter Cathy Downs and her husband Kevin of Beekmantown, two sons; Michael Jodoin and his wife Lisa of Plattsburgh, Alan Jodoin and his wife Lisa of West Chazy, her twin sister Claire Maiorino and her husband John of Seymour, CT; seven grandchildren; Megan Downs Perez and her husband Tony, Courtney and Brendan Downs, Chad and Shanae Jodoin, Kristen and Matthew Jodoin, two great grandchildren; Mia and Cameron Perez, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St, Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy. Interment will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 following a 9:00 a.m. Memorial Mass at St. Joseph's Church West Chazy. Friends wishing may make donations to Meals on Wheels or Clinton County Office for the Aging.
