Schuyler Falls On Sunday, October 17, 2010, Mary Louise (McLean) Nichols, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at CVPH after a brief illness. Mary will be remembered forever for her bright blue eyes, infectious smile, and warm embrace. Born in Albany, NY on November 17, 1926 to Reginald and Ida McLean, Mary was the eldest of many siblings, she attended schools in Keeseville until leaving school to assist her family. She was dedicated to her family and was a loving homemaker for the last 64 years. She enjoyed gospel and country music and camping. But, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by Melvin, her loving husband of 64 years. Her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kevin Passno. Four grandchildren: Laura Landry Ryan and her husband, Kelly; Vicki Landry Tomkiewicz; James Landry; and Stephanie Passno Lumb and her husband, Michael. Eight great-grandchildren; Skyler Purcell, Brendon Gladue, Evan Tomkiewicz, Tyler Purcell, Cassandra Tomkiewicz, Emi Ryan, Richard Ryan and Parker Lumb. Mary will be reunited with her family members in heaven including her daughter, Phyllis Nichols Glode, all of who will welcome her into the embrace of the lord. Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev Norman Mesel, pastor from the Turnpike Wesleyan Church at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
