Mary D Perry

Mary D. Perry, 89, formerly of Prospect Avenue in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Champlain Valley Senior Community in Willsboro with her loving daughters by her side. She was born in Old Forge, NY on November 13, 1929, the daughter of the Walter and Agnes (Bassford) Tetreault.
Mary loved to sing; she was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s, St. John’s Choir, and sang in the Plattsburgh State College Oratorial. In her free time she often could be found sewing, baking, or going to the beach. Above all else she enjoyed family gatherings, especially while enjoying ice cream.
She is survived by five daughters; Susan Lee Perry, Linda Greenwald and her husband Allen, Donna Russell and her husband David, Judy Booth and her husband Matthew, Cindy Preisinger and her husband Larry, her sister; Peggy Skiff, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Adrian Perry, her granddaughter Amber and her great-granddaughter Anna, her siblings; Margaret, Marilyn, Evelyn, Elizabeth, and Walter “Bud.”
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Brown Funeral, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00am at St. John’s Church. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to High Peaks Hospice.
The family would like to thank the “wonderful angels” and medical professionals of the Champlain Valley Senior Community in Willsboro for the exceptional care Mary received over the last 4 months.
