Cliff Haven Mrs. Mary R. Taylor, 92 , of Champlain Drive, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at her home under the care of Hospice of the North Country.. She was born in New York City on April 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary (Halpin) Roach. Mary was a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth and Columbia University. She had worked as a home economist for many years. Mary is survived by three children, Rosemary Taylor and her husband Timothy Searles of Boynton Beach, Florida, James Taylor of Cookville, Tennessee, John Taylor of Plattsburgh, one sister, Sister Jane Roach of Rye, N.Y., a brother, Robert Roach and his wife, Mary Dee of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren, Elizabeth Robinson, Richard Siracusa, Heather Taylor, Jessica Taylor and several nieces and nephews and lots of cousins. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Howard Taylor in 1987. Her parents and a sister, Alice Knowles also passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00am at St. John's Church. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
