Maurice J. Fregeau, 90, of North Catherine St. passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island May 20, 1929 the son of Napoleon and Alice (Blanchette) Fregeau. Maurice was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in U. S. Army as a medic. He was a correction officer at Clinton Correctional Facility retiring after thirty four years of service. He enjoyed carpentry, playing cards, playing computer games and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Maurice was a member of the American Legion Post 20, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and St. Peter’s Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings; Leo, Simone, Claire and Cora.
Maurice is survived by his wife sixty four years Theresa (Rivers) Fregeau, his children Maureen (Steven) Nye, Steven (Cynthia) Fregeau, Rodney Fregeau, Laurie (Michael) Clark, Christine Fregeau, his siblings; Sister Jeanne Marie Fregeau, Margaret (Rocco) Doti, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church.
Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Emmaus Room at St. Petr’s Church.
