Ms. Melissa M. "Missy" Martell, 42, of Plattsburgh, NY passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 unexpectedly in Vermontville, NY. She was born on July 20, 1972 in Plattsburgh, NY the daughter of Donald Martell and Janet (Richards) Francis. Missy enjoyed music and dancing in her free time. Her greatest love was for her children and friends. Missy is predeceased by her niece, Grace Elizabeth. Missy is survived by her children, Sierra and Caiden Martell, her father Donald and his wife Darlene, her mother, Janet Francis and her husband Michael, her sisters; Tammy Rienstra and her companion Ed Swinyer, and Kim Mendoza and her companion Robert, her nephews; Michael and Joseph Rienstra, and Nathan and Zachery Mendoza, one great-niece and one great-nephew, and her favorite canine companion, Jade. Calling hours will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
