Michael J Buckley

Michael J. Buckley, 62, of George Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home with family by his side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 9, 1959, the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Frederick) Buckley.
Michael was employed at Plattco for 43 years and was a member of the Classic Cruisers of Plattsburgh. He enjoyed cars (especially Chevys and GM’s), camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline (Martin) Buckley, his son; Michael Buckley of Plattsburgh, his sisters; Beverly and Jerry Phelps of Taneyville, MO., June Connelly and companion Robert Butts of Poughkeepsie, NY,., Gail and Randy Martino of West Chazy, Leisa and Steven Garrand of Plattsburgh, his brothers; Arthur Buckley, George Cassevah Jr. both of Plattsburgh, a sister in law; Hope Buckley of Keeseville, his father in law; George W. Martin, Sr. of Plattsburgh, his sisters in law and brothers in law; Warren and Susan Martin of Keeseville, Cindy and Kevin Seymour of Plattsburgh, George Martin of Plattsburgh, Tammy and Daniel Vest of Plattsburgh, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and stepfather George J. Cassevah Sr., his mother in law; Shirley Martin, and his brothers; Charles and Wayne Buckley.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Hospice of the North Country or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
