Michael D Lawson

Plattsburgh Michael D. Lawson, 17, of Wildwood Estates, Plattsburgh, NY departed this world and entered heaven Sunday 29, 2014 as a result of a swimming accident. He was born in Dominican Republic on January 12, 1997 the son of Douglas E. and Cristina (Hernandez Gonzalez) Lawson. Michael was a junior at Plattsburgh High School where he played football, soccer, basketball and baseball. Prior to playing high school sports, he played Plattsburgh Youth Hockey and Plattsburgh Little League Baseball. Michael was also taking classes at BOCES in preparation to pursue a career in criminal justice. He enjoyed snowboarding, wake boarding, taking cruises, playing X-Box, air soft games and spending time with family and friends. Michael was predeceased by his father Douglas E. Lawson, his uncle Michael C. Lawson, paternal grandparents Francis and Margaret Lawson and his maternal grandfather Cristobal Hernandez. He is survived by his mother Cristina Lawson and her companion Robert Patinka of Plattsburgh, his sister Amanda Lawson of Sebring, FL, his maternal grandmother, Maria Gonzalez of Aruba, his aunts Susan Lawson of Dade City, FL, Patrice Harris and her husband George of Miami, FL, Criselda Hernandes of Aruba, his uncle, Socrate Hernandez of Holland the Netherlands, his aunts Amarily Gonzalez and Josely Vazquez and his uncle Robinson Gonzalez, several cousins also survive him. There will be no calling hours. Michael's family will receive guests on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the North Country Alliance Church, 7 Northern Ave on the former new base and the corner road of New York and Northern Ave. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the North Country Alliance Church.
