Michael G "Mickey" Parent

Michael G. “Mickey” Parent, 80, of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on December 2, 1939, the son of Albert and Gertrude (Laundry) Parent.
Mickey had a passion for racing, holding many positons from driving, crew chief, and owner of many cars. He often enjoyed testing his luck at the casino. Mickey was never one to stay still and often would be seen walking or going to Stewart’s to get his coffee.
He is survived by his daughters; Michele Perkins and her fiancé Roland Carignan, Stephanie Akin and her husband Gary, his grandchildren; Joshua Perkins, Brittany Perkins, and Rori Akin, his siblings; Judy and Theresa and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Raymond, Bernard, Ernest, Erwin, Rita, Annamae, Pearl and Lorraine.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 20, 2020, from 3:00-4:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
Due to the current pandemic, face coverings and social distancing will be required during services.
