Michael D. "Mike, Spike" Watts, 54, of Johnson Avenue passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on March 12, 1964, the son of Sharron Black. He was employed by Lake Champlain Transportation as a diesel engineer for many years. Michael was a good father and was very selfless, always gave to others and was very reliable. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He taught his children everything they know, and they are very thankful that they had him. Michael is survived by his children and their spouses; Cody Watts and companion Jacqueline Moore, Clay Watts and companion Ryelyn Brown, Riley Watts, his mother, Sharron Black, his siblings and their spouses; Jeffrey and Angela Watts, Barbara Watts, his father in law; Richard Northrup, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Oscar and Enola Gay. His sister Michelle Helen Watts, his step fathers William Champagne and Charles Black passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Donations in Mike's Memory may be made to the H.K. Freedman Renal Center at CVPH or the American Diabetes Foundation.
