Michelle C Hughes

Michelle C. (Pereira) Hughes, 53, passed away peacefully August 5, 2022 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA , on February 3, 1969 the daughter of David and Marlyn (Gidney) Pereira. Michelle graduated from high school in New Jersey. She joined the United States Navy after graduation. After being honorably discharged she moved to Plattsburgh to be closer to her parents and attend nursing school at Clinton Community College. Michelle worked at CVPH Medical Center before moving south. She moved back to Plattsburgh in 2019 to care for her father.
She was predeceased by her father David.
Michelle is survived by her loving mother Marlyn (Gidney) Pereira; her siblings, David Jr. and Kristin; her nephews; David Daniel and Darius Jacob.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander’s Church.
Entombment will be at St. Alexander’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Elmore SPCA.
